Day 9
jeju island, south korea
Arrival: 07:00
-
Departure: 15:00
Jeju Island is the largest island in South Korea, located in Jeju Province (Jeju Special Self-Governing Province). The island covers an area of 1,833.2 km² (707.8 sq mi), accounting for about 1.83% of South Korea’s total land area. In 2020, it had a registered population of around 670,000, the highest of any island in the country.
The island sits in the Korea Strait, just south of the Korean Peninsula and the South Jeolla Province. Jeju is South Korea’s only self-governing province, meaning it’s administered by local residents rather than politicians from the mainland.
Kimnyeong Beach marks the northern tip of Jeju Island, Songak Mountain its southern end, Suwolbong the western edge and Seongsan Ilchulbong the eastern point. Lying between the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan, Jeju occupies an important economic, political and military position for South Korea.
The island was formed by the eruption of an underwater volcano roughly 2 million years ago. It’s home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes. Jeju has a temperate, relatively mild climate; even in winter, temperatures rarely drop below 0 °C (32 °F). It is a hugely popular holiday destination, and a significant share of the local economy depends on tourism and activity linked to its civil and naval base.

Day 10
seoul (incheon),south korea
Arrival: 07:00
Incheon is a historically and economically important city for Koreans. During the Korean War, it was the site of the Incheon Landing by American forces. Today, Incheon is a metropolitan city of about 2.8 million people, politically independent from Seoul. It also serves as a major transport hub by air and sea, with a huge harbour and one of the world’s best international airports. Several beautiful islands, including Yeongjong Island and Ganghwa Island, fall within the city limits.
The city’s profile is set to rise further, with a number of major national projects underway. The New Songdo City development, the most expensive real estate project in Korean history, is due for completion in 2015. One of the world’s tallest twin-tower complexes, the 151 Incheon Tower, is in the early stages of construction, and Korea’s current tallest building, the Northeast Asia Trade Tower, has already been completed. Incheon is also planning a series of independent mini-cities focused on shopping, housing and education. Alongside these developments, the city will welcome large numbers of visitors for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. For now, however, the Songdo area is still unfinished and sparsely populated, and is not yet a particularly rewarding destination for tourists. Travellers are more likely to enjoy the lively eastern districts of Incheon, which merge almost seamlessly into the vast urban sprawl of Seoul.
NOTE: If you are interested in more than one cabin, you must do as many bookings as the number of cabins you want . * In case of having received any type of promotion or advantage for Newlyweds Travel, an official document will be required that proves the recent marriage of the couple.
